Brass At The Park - Moor Park Preston - 2-4pm- 26/8/18

Aug, 20 2018

~Picture the scene. You’re in a peaceful nature reserve, the birds are singing, the sky is blue. Nothing, no-one can disturb your serenity. That is, until you hear musician Bjork hollering out her 1995 cover ‘It’s oh so quiet’ which leaves everyone ( including the birds) disturbed and disrupted for the duration of the day.

In the North West region of Lancashire we may not have Bjork but here in Preston we have some beautiful parks which, when enjoyed to the full can be a real joy from the stress of the city.

Despite the lack of an Icelandic singer Preston’s Moor Park is providing some excellent music which, in parts,  has some resemblance to the mid-nineties track.

‘Brass in the Park’ will wake up the wildlife this Sunday 26th August. They will perform for a two hour duration between 2pm-4pm. Admission is free.

Freckleton Brass Band will perform three 30 minute sets in Moor Park, near to the café (former bowls pavilion, near to the Greens & Moor Park Avenue) Here is the full schedule of their performances :-

2pm - 2.30pm
2.45pm - 3.15pm
3.30pm - 4pm

The café will also be open during the event so you can purchase hot and cold food and drinks at your leisure.

If your unfamiliar with the area log in the following address into your SAT NAV:-
