~Some things in life work marvellously together, strawberries and cream, fish and chips, bangers and mash. Food references aside on a cultural level an exciting event is taking place soon which blends sophisticated music with spoken word innovation.

‘Music in Poetry’ is an evening of high class entertainment located at the United Reformed Church in Clitheroe on Sunday 6th May 2018 from 5.30pm.

The early evening occasion is expected to include local a jazz trombonist turned composer turned lyrical wonder Paul Taylor. Paul is an experienced musician having played with some top jazz composers such as Loose Tubes and Mingus Big Band. He will also throw in some unbeknown word improv too.

A Sheffield trio act called ‘Word Aloud’ will incorporate performance with word simply called ‘Questions of England’. This highly entertaining group will include audience participation in a fun and spontaneous way.
