Ballet At Blackpool This New Year ( 2016)

Dec, 31 2015

~When you think of Blackpool, it conjures up images of  illuminations, the tower, the circus, the coast and of course the pleasure beach. You wouldn’t have thought then that Blackpool would be the temporary home to host an acclaimed dance troupe that  have set the world alight with their pointed shoes, perfected routines and magical set and scenery.

Think again. For three nights in January ( 2016) Blackpool’s Grand Theatre will take residence for a spectacular dance show. The Russian State Ballet of Siberia will grace the stage and amaze audiences with their skilled dancing set to a beautiful backdrop of music and an enchanting story.

On Friday January 8th Giselle will be performed. Saturday, January 9th you can watch The Snow Maiden and finally the absolute classic, Sunday January 10th sees the epic dance showcase The Nutcracker.

Principal dancer, Anna Fedosova aged just 20 had these words of innocence about the UK and what it means to her,

“I toured once in UK and I liked to be in England very much. I do not know much about British culture but everything I have seen was very advanced and versatile.”

Just because it’s January tomorrow doesn’t mean it’s too late to grab yourself, friends or family a pair of tickets. For times and purchasing of tickets simply call, 01253 290190.

To watch the beauty and elegance of this kind of dance is a rare treat and if you live in the North West and you’re a keen fan of the arts in general you’ll be wanting to see this unique and captivating dance ensemble.

Miss Fedosova had these encouraging words to all young and aspiring dancers out there and what it means to perform what you have been taught,

“I wish to all young ballet dancers to fall in love with dancing, with everything you do on stage and then the audience will definitely fall in love with you.”

Fall in love this new year and watch this moving and magnificent  three day dance delight.
