Sir Tom Finney Tribute Show . Fri Oct 9th 2015. Charter Theatre. Preston
Jul, 21 2015
~~The beautiful game. A sport where heroes are made. It’s where memories are treasured. What am I referring to? It is of course football. For nearly 50 years England have lived on hope that they could win either the world cup or the euros. Yes since 1966 there hasn’t been a better game and there hasn’t been a better player than the legendary Sir Tom Finney.
Tom was a world class player there is no doubt about that. Fans of the game will back that up. When he past away last year he left behind a legacy and a sea of supporters old and young that followed his football career and the gentleman that he was off the pitch as well.
He won the hearts of many which was why it was apt that he died on Valentines Day, February 14th 2014. Fans of the hero have the opportunity to pay their respects in an event organised by Rock FM’s ‘Cash for kids’ and in partnership with Preston Guild Hall.
It will be a spectacular variety show which will follow the life and times of Sir Tom Finney featuring song and dance from every era. Billed to take place for one night only on Friday 9th October 2015 at 7pm, local entertainers will provide an evening of foot stomping fun and nostalgia.
Tickets are priced at £15 with £3 concession off. It will be held at the charter theatre which is on Lancaster road, Preston, PR1, 1HT. To book tickets for you and your friends contact the box office on :- 01772 80 44 44. Or for more information you can dial the guild hall on :- 01772 80 44 40. Email :- info@prestonguildhall.co.uk
