The summer is renowned for experiencing the best in pop, prog, metal and jazz music. Whether it be a local festival or something more mega such as Glastonbury. The Blackburn King Georges Hall has been home to many rock acts that are known for featuring great bands throughout the summer season.

One band that has explored the above genres and is just as credible now as when they started in 1965 are The Stranglers. With songs as diverse as the anthemic punk track ‘No more Heroes’ to the lilting harpsichord strains of ‘Golden Brown’.

They have inspired contemporary bands today and continue to push the boundaries when it comes to new and exciting music.
