Comedy Night Comes To The Palace Cinema - Longridge

Comedy Night Comes To The Palace Cinema - Longridge

Jan, 3 2020

~Inspiration can occur in the most unlikeliest scenarios. Take Ethan Cooper for example, the co-director of Vertigo Sound. In 2018, Ethan was working at The Palace cinema in Longridge with his business partner Mark Shepherd when a light bulb moment  initiated an idea that the venue would be an ideal place for comedy.

He had previously worked on comedy shows at The Preston Guild Hall and with the recent demise of the venue the Lancashire district was crying out for a new one to replace the Guild.

Ethan reveals the potentiality of The Palace themed evenings:-

“We put on a run of comedy nights, which went down a storm, so we have decided to book in another six for 2020, along with one on New Year’s Eve.”

The 2020 dates will take place on the last Friday of each month, and are currently scheduled from January until June.

Ethan concludes with the positive impact the evenings  could create for the local community,

“We would really love for these nights to become a permanent monthly club and help to put Longridge on the comedy map. We hope to make people more aware of The Palace to help ensure it is still open in years to come.”

A new monthly comedy night is coming to The Palace in Longridge.
