UK Creativity Researchers' Conference 2019 - UCLAN - 9am - 5pm - 22/5/19

May, 21 2019

~You might be an extremely creative person. You might excel at school or  work in the arts. But do you really know the concept of creativity and what makes a person become a creative individual?

Since 2016 The UK Creative Researchers’ Conference has been striving to answer that question. Annually it speaks to artists who are keenly interested in the study of creativity.

Here are the top four things it promotes :-

  1.  To unite
  2.  Share skills and ideas
  3.  Build productive collaborations
  4.  Ultimately boost both the national and international impact of creativity research.

Now in 2019 the one day conference is coming to UCLAN Wednesday 22nd May between the hours of 9am - 5pm in the Foster Lecture Theatre Four, Foster Building, Preston Campus.

It will feature the keynote speaker Jonathan Plucker, Professor of Talent Development at Johns Hopkins University (Baltimore, US). His in-depth research will seek to expose  creativity and intelligence, education policy, and talent development.

Jonathon will address the audience with  the theme “Creativity Confuses Me: Perplexing Questions About a Complex Construct”. Throughout his talk he will review recent developments and identify the “major unknowns” in need of additional attention. The conference will also feature selected podium presentations/papers and posters.

Please note :- the conference gets full quickly so book now to avoid disappointment. It is £60 for the day which  includes a working lunch and refreshments.
