~The contemporary music scene is comprised of boy bands and girls bands, indie saviours of rock  and heavy weight giants like Fleetwood Mac and The Rolling Stones. But what about the more underground scene or perhaps musicians that are just starting out and are exploring a  unique original soundtrack.

For many years now UCLAN’s annual Future Sound festival has delivered performances from new, emerging artists. Every May installations  are shown with the main focus being experimental and avant -garde.

This years festival takes place from Friday May 11th - Sunday May 13th.
The opening night ( Friday 11th May) will begin from 5pm-10pm.  It will be staged at UCLAN’S Media Factory on Cold Bath Street. It is free to enter and the following performances await your arrival :-

There will be many more live acts throughout the three day event. The above is designed to set the tone of what the public can expect for the three day duration.

Music practice students have crafted their work over the academic year to demonstrate to a live audience what they have learnt and achieved over the past 12 months.

Future Sound 2018 - Three days of musical innovation with a programme of installations and performances from established and emerging artists.
