Jan, 23 2018

~We’ve seen it depicted in science fiction movies but the reality of having prosthesis is much tougher than the false  glamorization of a blockbuster hit.

On Wednesday 31st January between 2.30pm -3.30pm at the Foster Building, Lecture Theatre 3 at UCLAN will be  an hour duration of a  talk which will help the audience discover the real truth of what life is really like to have a severe disability.

A guest speaker will talk on the subject ‘Being Bionic’. Nigel was unfortunate to loose his lower arm in a work accident. Yet now he can talk quite openly about his past, present and future problems of prosthesis. This revealing and insightful talk will shed light on the subject and how Nigel has learnt to adapt to using his new hand.

The event is free to attend and is open to everyone including, staff, students and the curious public.

Support Nigel by attending this event as we learn the courage and bravery of living differently because of ‘Being Bionic’.
