Genesis Tribute Band Coming To The Grand, Clitheroe. 1st April 2016

Feb, 4 2016

~‘Turn it on Again’, ‘ Jesus he knows me’ and ‘Land of Confusion’ may seem unfamiliar tracks to a Radiohead fan. More familiar however, were the prog rock predecessors of epic stagecraft magic, Genesis.

In their early incarnation they were fronted by Peter Gabriel. They had a string of unusual yet captivating songs and toured much of the world with Pete on board. Peter quit which left the band in disarray, not knowing who could front the band. Phil Collins was the current drummer but the band all agreed Phil could and ultimately would,  make a great front man.

This is where most of their big hits were formed and where prog rock  tribute bands have  created much of their accolade to the Collins front man era.
