Poetry Night At Korova Cafe

Poetry Night At Korova Cafe

Jan, 21 2016

~You could split Preston easily into two halves, the manic club seeking wound up percentage and the quiet calm culturally minded at the other end of the spectrum.

For the wise amongst us, it’s good to concentrate on the latter. It’s good to meet up for a brew and a natter. It’s good that we can focus on the more important matters.

Wouldn’t it be good if  we could meet up, read poetry and drink fine wine. Thankfully, there is such a place. Based on Charnley Street, Preston,  the Korova café is home to all sorts of creative and music based entertainment.

On the last Wednesday every month, collective poets meet and listen to an evening of high-brow written word.

Three acts take to the floor, a Preston based performer, a Preston based student and a regionally recognised guest poet. Proving that there really is, something for everyone.

It starts at a reasonable time of 7.30pm and continues for a good few hours. They’ll no doubt be a break in-between in which you can have a loo break or buy rounds for your mates.

If you’d like more information or if you’re a budding poet and you’d like a place on the stage to perform your work  then simply contact Korova on :- 01772 250 701.

The next one taking place will be Wednesday 27th Jan. The following two months will be 24th Feb and 30th March 2016.

Arrive early to get a good seat, tell all your friends and come along to a cultural evening of high class poetry performances.
