Echo And The Bunnymen At Blackburn King Georges Hall

Echo And The Bunnymen At Blackburn King Georges Hall

Mar, 17 2015

Liverpool. 1978. Previous bands that had dominated this city were The Beatles and The Hollies. As the 1970's drew to a close though there was a new band on the horizon. A band that can only be described based on comments from music magazine "Uncut" as " starry eyed anthemic rock. It is of course, Echo and The Bunnymen.

Fronted by Ian McCulloch they made a huge impact on the music charts both in singles and albums. Tracks such as " Rescue", " The Killing Moon" and their 1997 comeback single " Nothing Lasts Forever".

Their albums pulled no punches too from their 1980 debut " Crocodiles" to last years ( 2014) " Meteorites". Their 2014 record was their first album in five years and it also became their 12th. The album itself demonstrated their skills as songwriters aswell as their effortless musicianship too which crowned them as one of the most seminal British rock acts in modern history.

The good news? They're coming to one of the North West's established concert venues, Blackburn King Georges Hall. Performing all their hits and some new ones too on Friday 22nd May. Doors 7pm. Price £26.50.

It will be held at the windsor suite and it will be a standing event. To book tickets for you and your friends contact 0844 847 1664. Or email :- events@kinggeorgeshall.com

The King Georges Hall is situated in the centre of Blackburn close to the arts college and some well known cafes and restaurants. Be aware however, that Blackburn has a one way route and access to the Hall could prove difficult so allow plenty of time to find a parking space then you can relax at the venue.

Echo and the Bunnymen have kept their consistency as a soft rock band with defining lyrical quality as well as great music that the fans can enjoy and appreciate. Hope you enjoy the evening!:)
