Key Features Of The CCG:-2. 'Members' - 31/03/20

Mar, 31 2020

~Welcome to ‘Key Features of The CCG’. Each week I’ll be reviewing various aspects of The CCG website as a reminder about the significance of the organization and how you can easily access such features. This week I’ll be looking at ‘Members’.

The Members area covers 9 pages and has a total of 303 people, with the numbers rising rapidly. They comprise of male and female, young and mature, locally and internationally. Yet they all have a desire to connect with the community, The Creative Community.

The most notable member comes from the Chair of the CCG, Russell Hogarth. He is an Honorary Fellow, Community Ambassador and Social Entrepreneur in Residence at the University of Central Lancashire.

Russell’s work has seen him develop strong pathways in both the mental and physical health care sectors. His time at UCLAN helped him establish positive events that change the way people perceive mental health such as the successful 1 in 4 Film Festival and The World Mental  Health Day.

Russell’s fellow colleagues admire his great strength, passion and philanthropy and acknowledge the service he has done for the sustenance of humanity.

This is just a small section of what a reader can expect to see when they view the monthly based ‘Spotlight on CCG Members’. It  takes place on the first Wednesday of each month and alternates between female and male members. It either introduces new ones or highlights the talent of already existing ones.

The next one will take place on Wednesday April 1st focusing on member Jonathon Moss.

Finally:- What are your reasons for joining the CCG?

Being a member of The CCG is free of charge. Once signed up, you’ll reap the benefits of connecting with people who share similar goals and ideals.

The CCG rose like a phoenix from the ashes of The Preston Guild 2012. Over the past eight years it has successfully achieved more members than in the very early days of it’s birth. With the recent pandemic it’s likely more and more members will sign up as we continue to  adapt to our new way of living.
