Show Us Your Moves

Show Us Your Moves

Feb, 19 2020

Campaign for DanceSyndrome launches on 21st February.

Do you believe that everyone has the right to dance?  Do you believe in an inclusive and equitable Society where everyone can follow their dreams? DanceSyndrome breaks down barriers and uses dance to do it.

On 21st February the charity is launching a new fundraising campaign called Show Us Your Moves and we urge you to get involved in supporting it.  Our campaign goes live one month before Word Down Syndrome Day 2020 #WDSD20, celebrating the amazing achievements of people across the world as we celebrate DanceSyndrome Founder Jen Blackwell, who happens to have Down's syndrome.

Led by Jen, DanceSyndrome will be producing videos of their incredible Dance Leaders who have learning disabilities showing their inspiring dance moves and we would love for you to film your signature dance move and post it to our social media with the hash tags #showusyourmoves #righttodance #WDSD20. Would you tag in your friends and challenge them to do the same?

Established in 2009, in the last year alone they have engaged with 8,160 people with 100% declaring they have felt happier, better about their future and a sense of belonging since joining.

This is what you need to do...

1.Film yourself or your group doing your fabulous dance moves – get creative and twerk, jette, quickstep, floss, polka - it's up to you.  30 seconds will be more than enough.

2. Get ready to post it on 21 February and tag in @DanceSyndrome as well as hashtags #showusyourmoves #righttodance #WDSD20
