We are inviting arts organisations and groups to apply for grants of up to £3,000 to assist with activities that contribute to one or more of the goals outlined in the Cultural framework for 2014-18.
Cultural framework goals
We invite arts organisations and community groups to apply for funding that supports one or more of the following goals.
Quality
We aspire to achieve quality and excellence in the cultural life of Preston.
Participation and inclusion
More people are involved in cultural activities as audiences, participants and creative producers.
Supporting creativity
Creative people and groups thrive in Preston.
Preston - a cultural centre
Preston is recognised as the cultural hub of Central Lancashire.
How to apply
You can apply for a cultural framework grant online. Alternatively you can download the form from the documents section and post to us at the given address.
The application deadlines are:
- 12.00 noon 3 August 2014
- 12.00 noon 3 November 2014
Successful applicants will be notified within 4 weeks.
A limited number of grants are available up to £3,000. However, the total budget is £15,000 for 2014/15, therefore, awards in the upper part of the range will be exceptional and are required to show match from other funders. It is expected that most applications will be for amounts under £1,000. This funding is for projects with direct outcomes for people and not for organisational running costs.
For the terms and conditions for applications please see the documents section. Final decisions on awards will be made by Preston City Council’s Cabinet Member for Culture.
Funding is limited and we cannot guarantee that all eligible applications will be able to be supported. Please contact the Cultural Development Manager, Samantha Blackburn at s.blackburn@preston.gov.uk if you want to discuss your application before submitting.
