Emeritus Professor Chris Pyke

Chris Pyke is an emeritus professor at the University of Central Lancashire, an independent consultant and a director at Fly High Media Ltd, a digital marketing company based in Manchester and Cheshire. 

Chris has held senior leadership roles in four universities: University of Central Lancashire (UCLan), Manchester Metropolitan University, University of Chester and Liverpool John Moores University.  Most recently, Chris was the Executive Dean of the Faculty of Business and Justice at the University of Central Lancashire, which included the Lancashire School of Business and Enterprise, Law, Policing, Social Sciences, Criminology and Public Services.  

In recognition of his contribution to UCLan he was awarded the title Emeritus Professor.

He is a passionate believer in personal development and the power of education to transform lives and build a better future for individuals, their families, and their communities.  Throughout his career his mission has always been to help others achieve their potential.

Prior to working in higher education Chris was in local government where he qualified as an accountant with the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy (CIPFA). Chris has been a volunteer for the Northwest Society of CIPFA for over 30 years and served as its President in 2010/11. 

He is also a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA).
