MaaChild UK Charity provides sustainable secondary education support for Maasai students in Southern Kenya.

Children in Kenya receive free primary education. But schools in this area are overcrowded and underequipped and children often have to walk many miles each day, across potentially dangerous bush land, in order to attend school. Despite these challenges they achieve great things and standards of achievement are high. However, there is no provision for secondary education and the majority of Maasai children will have no choice or opportunity to continue their studies.

It is important to us, the children and the Maasai communities that this support is sustainable and prepares the young person to cope with and assist their community with the inevitable changes they are experiencing in their culture

Together with other volunteers here and in Kenya we work in co-operation with Maasai friends to bring hope to children and families from these remote  communities.    We invite you to share in this hope.
