Mental Health In The Workplace Seminar - UCLAN - 8.30am -10am - 24/01/20

Jan, 21 2020

~The last time you shopped at your local supermarket you noticed a member of staff looking troubled and worried as they appeared to be talking to themselves. You interacted with them and you discovered that they are having a brief setback in their mental health problem and have only just returned to part time employment following a brief respite at home.

This situation isn’t rare neither should it be a taboo subject. The fact is that many people who do and can work are battling with some kind of mental health condition. Now a forward thinking approach is being delivered to the public.

‘This Is Me: Increasing Awareness of Mental Health in the Workplace’ will take place this Friday 24th January 2020 at UCLAN’S Media Factory in the Creative Innovation Zone, Room ME414. It will be a 90 minute programme from 8.30am - 10am.

The concept behind the innovative campaign is to encourage open discussions about mental health in the workplace. This will be delivered by a  variety of means such as through stories and experiences interpreted
Via  media outlets such as from  blogs and videos.

As part of the seminar you will experience the following:-

This is Me – what is it, start point to now, call to action

Employers perspective: speakers from BAE Submarines Ltd and Sellafield Ltd talk about how their organisations have embraced This is Me

Panel Q&A - opportunity for audience to ask questions

Please note:- Refreshments will be available from 8am. The event is free to attend but you will need to book, you can do so by logging onto this website address:-https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/this-is-me-increasing-mental-health-awareness-in-the-workplace-tickets-
