Preston Community Day

Preston Community Day

Aug, 30 2014

Today people from Preston and surrounding towns gathered in force on Preston Flag Market for the Community Day.

Throughout the day various groups took to the stage to entertain the crowds through music and dance. Some of the acts included the talented; Dance Syndrome, Worldwise Samba, Red Ribbon Cabaret, and Salsa Northwest. Each act brought some incredible talent to the day and engaged the crowds in their own unique way.

There was also many stalls surrounding the Flag Market all offering something different such as; arts and crafts, games, henna painting, craft goods, clothes and food. The people behind each stall were all very welcoming and willing to talk to anyone about their group.

Today people gathered in Preston City Centre and demonstrated exactly what it means to live in a multi-cultural society. The atmosphere was amazing as hundreds of people gathered as one to participate in this fabulous day.

I think I talk for everyone in the CCG when I say that we was very proud to be part of such a fantastic event in a brilliiant community.

Thank You to each and every person who attended whether it was to join in, perform or help to run the day. Without you it would not have been possible.
