~Once Halloween and Bonfire Night are done and dusted the majority of the world will be preparing for the party season and rushing headlong into buying potentially unwanted gifts to their friends and family. But away from the chaos of the shopping buying public, some are retreating into a calm, quiet place to appreciate a cultural masterpiece in the form of a classical concert.

 In association with Harris Music Preston another Midday Classical Concert is occurring at St. Georges’s Church on Lune Street. Interested ones should note the next one will take place on Wednesday 13th November 2019 at 1pm. Tickets are £12 at the door.

The headline act will be Ugnius Pauliukonis. Ugnius is a Lithuanian pianist and RNCM Gold Medal Award winner. He will be performing a selection of short pieces by Chopin and Debussy, they read as follows:-

  • F. Chopin Etudes op. 10 nos 1 and 12
  • Two Nocturnes op.62
  • Ballade no. 4 in f minor op.52
  • C. Debussy Images: 'Reflets dans l'eau'
  • F. Chopin Waltzes op.34
  • Etudes op.25 nos 5 and 10
  • C. Debussy Prelude: 'Feux d'artifice'
  • F. Chopin Scherzo no.2 in b-flat minor

Please note :- the concert will be an hour long and refreshments will be available throughout the performance.
