~When media professionals broadcast their material on national television it all appears seamlessly done with few, if any mistakes. But look beyond the veneer, these experienced media moguls have collaborated an extensive amount of research to make, what you see on the news, effortless. Without their research they wouldn’t have the confidence to carry it through and make it an effective broadcast.

Next Wednesday 30th October 2019 UCLAN have organised a special collective. ‘Adelphi Research Network Meeting Researchers in and Around the School of Journalism, Media and Performance’ will frequent together at the Adelphi pub in the first floor of the building between the hours of 4pm -5.15pm.

The first meeting of the year will welcome and welcome  back all PhD research students and supervisory teams plus a special invitation to would-be researchers and would-be supervisors to join in.

Interested ones will enjoy a discussion led by Dr François Nel on how a study into the choices leaders in news organisations make relates to their company’s performance led to a new two-year action research project into amplifying the innovation culture here at UCLAN.

Following the 30th October, organisers have planned monthly meetings to take us to the Spring of next year, they read as follows :-
