Inspiring Speaker Event - UCLAN - 12noon - 1pm - 2/10/19

Oct, 1 2019

~Life can, at times become routine. If we’re not careful we can find ourselves in a rut with lack of hope and a fearful dread of the future. We all need to feel inspired. When an engaging audience listen’s attentively to someone who has made a real difference not just in themselves but for the benefit the community  they come away feeling as if they could do something similar.

Tomorrow lunchtime comes ‘LSBE Enterprising Women’s Group- Inspiring Speaker Event’. It will take place between the hour of 12noon till 1pm at UCLAN’S Enterprise and Innovation Studio, Greenbank Building Room GR170.

The event is one of many which will host a variety of speakers to provide inspirational presentations to our students, staff and external business professionals. The 2nd October speaker will be - St Catherine’s Hospice - Director of Knowledge & Technical, Lynn Kelly.

Lynn is a real example of an individual who has worked her craft in a number of sectors. From volunteering at University to her media career at Radio 1. Following a period in the South, she returned to the North and was appointed at St. Catherine’s Hospice. This allowed her to combine her commercial work experience and knowledge of the volunteering sector.

Interested ones will gain much encouragement and advice from this experienced speaker. By attending you will learn these four essential elements:-

  1. How being proactive can help lead to an amazing career
  2. The benefits of life-long learning
  3. The barriers you may face at work
  4. How to try to overcome these.
