~In the early 1980’s a popular television series  began it’s 20 year reign at the top of informative viewing for the Great British public. The original series was known for it’s selective wine tasting and guidance for local and established restaurants.

‘Food and Drink’ was first broadcast between 1982 - 2002. It was presented by Simon Bates and Gillian Miles, and introduced Jilly Goolden in her first regular television appearances as the programme's wine expert.

17 years later and the series has been embedded into the minds and hearts of local people who wish to organise an event which caters for our taste buds.

Barton Grange’s Food and Drink Festival is back for it’s eighth year which promises to appeal to all tastes and ages.

Producers from around the region will be setting up the following five essential ingredients:-

  1. Stalls
  2. Tastings
  3. Demos
  4. Samples
  5. Workshops

It all takes place Friday 30th August - Saturday 31st 2019 between the hours of 10am - 4pm. Admission is completely free and for more information please visit the following website address:-www.bartongrange.co.uk/events/food-festival/
