Feast For Peace - Preston Flag Market - 12pm -4pm - 31//8/19

~We all look forward to eating. Most times friends and families will  gather  round the table for a special occasion, it could be a wedding or anniversary. But have you considered dining together for a more profound reason?

Feast for Peace is an annual event which takes place on Preston’s Flag Market each summer. For this years feast they’ve joined forces (literally!) with The Harris Museum to consider the food heroes of World War 1. The men who went to battle when their wives were distraught at home without their husbands  over meal times.

It’s also an opportunity to enjoy some varied music and dance that has been catered for the occasion. In addition to The Harris, Feast for Peace are also in direct collaboration with The Larder and Preston Food Partnership. Why? To deliver a wide selection of food and drink for your delectation.

Feast for Peace takes place on Saturday 31st August from 12noon till 4pm. The cost of admission is completely free and for more information on The Larder please visit the following face book page:-www.facebook.com/TheLarderLancashire/

For several weeks now, the CCG has been notifying visitors to the website and already established members about the excellent choice of entertainment on offer on Preston’s Flag Market throughout the summer. Sadly, this marks the last one but please do read over previous events so you don’t miss out on upcoming ones that are still yet to surface.

Next time you’re dining  with your friends and  family spare a thought for our comrades who fought in the last century, it will make you appreciate the present so much more:-
