The Harm Tree - Book Launch - UCLAN - 6pm -7pm - 22/7/19

~What JK Rowling did for the Harry Potter series of books was quite extraordinary. She infused a new and imaginative way for children to read books. The films also did justice to the  magical world Rowling created.

George  R. R. Martin did something similar. This however was on an adult perspective.  His first series of fantasy novels began with  ‘A Song of Fire and Ice’ . From this, ‘A Games of Thrones’ was born. 15 years later the TV.  Programme was unearthed to millions and became a cult classic.

Now in 2019 the popular hit series has concluded but there is a new book which may ignite a fading light for many fans. The Harm Tree is the first in what’s described as an epic new fantasy series, which is being published by UCLAN Publishing. It is set in a world still recovering from one war and on the brink of another.

Author Rose Edwards is in the UK for a short time and is coming to the book launch at UCLAN to read exclusive  extracts, answer audience questions and sign copies of the book.

Hazel Holmes from UCLAN  Publishing expressed these words of appreciation and the anticipation of her appearance at the event,

“Rose is a huge talent and when she attended our Northern Young Adult Literary Festival earlier this year, she signed copies of the Harm Tree for more than two hours. She’s had great reviews and we’re looking forward to introducing her to a Preston audience.”

The event will take place on Monday 22 July from 6pm to 7pm in UCLAN ’s Harrington Social Space in Harrington Building. It is free to attend but places are limited so please register online via Eventbrite.
