Limehouse Lizzy - The Continental - 8pm - 3/8/19
Jul, 12 2019
~In 1969 a hard rock band from Dublin Ireland graced the stage with their combination of rock, blues rock and heavy metal. Fronted by the late Phil Lynott the band went on to have a number of successful singles including ‘Whiskey in the Jar’, ‘Jailbreak’ and ‘The Boys are back in town’.
After 14 years in the spotlight the band called it a day in 1983. The following years saw collaborations with Gary Moore, Lynott’s untimely death and a greatest hits record which was a celebration of their time at the top.
Now, however, a different set of boys are back in town. Limehouse Lizzy have been keeping the spirit of Celtic rock icon Philip Lynott and Thin Lizzy alive, by dominating stages worldwide. The band have also added a tribute into their show to ex-Thin Lizzy guitarist (and world renowned solo artist) Gary Moore.
They’ll be performing a set of Lizzy classics at The Continental in Preston on Friday 3rd August 2019. Tickets are £16 advanced with a booking fee (newcontinental.net) in person via The Continental ( 01772 499 425) or direct from Action Records ( 01772 884 772)
From their Official PRS award, performing for Virgin Atlantic in Barbados, T.V. appearances (BBC 2’s ‘Arena’ amongst others), and to actually being recruited to record and tour by members of the original Thin Lizzy, Limehouse Lizzy enter their 25th year with their most explosive show and critically-acclaimed line-up yet.

In 2012, two of the original members decided against recording new material as Thin Lizzy so a new band, Black Star Riders, was formed to tour and produce new releases such as their debut album All Hell Breaks Loose. Thin Lizzy plan to reunite for occasional concerts.
