Instrument Making Workshop - UCLAN - 1pm-3pm - 9/6/19

Jun, 4 2019

~Admittedly in our childhood we’ve all attempted to make musical instruments out of literally anything. From empty tissue boxes with an elastic band round the centre to an old saucepan in the bottom of the cupboard. Now we’re adults it seems we’re reliving our childhood.

‘Instrument Making Workshop, Suitable for all ages’ is taking place at the Media Factory, Preston Campus this Sunday 9th June between the hours of 1pm - 3pm.

This workshop will provide materials and guidance in constructing instruments from recyclable plastic bottles. The group will then work out some patterns together to form an Afro-Brazilian Bottle Band with the option of performing alongside the Worldwise Samba Band at a performance on Saturday 15th June.

Young children and adults are encouraged to come along and have a go and the range of activities will vary depending on the age group. Children though, MUST be accompanied by a responsible adult.

Please note:- Bottles will be provided or you can bring your own. Parking is available on the UCLAN car parks. The event is free and no booking is required.

Why not relive your childhood or help those who are experiencing theirs:-
