~There are many excellent places to visit in the North West of England which celebrate a series of historic and contemporary work which  have gained attention from the general public. These vary from The Museum of Science and Industry in Manchester to the Liverpool Tate.

Much closer to home is The British Commercial Vehicle Museum. Based in Leyland, the well known collection of vintage cars, buses and motorcycles has fascinated local and international visitors for a considerable time.

It has recently undergone a £1.8 million Heritage Lottery Fund refurbishment and very soon the museum is travelling to a nearby city as part of the Summer Saturdays taking place in Preston this year, 2019.

‘Vintage Vehicles’ will be on display this forthcoming Saturday 8th June. They will be exhibited between the hours of 10am - 4pm. The vehicles will be located at the Preston  Flag Market outside The Harris Museum and Art Gallery.

Interested ones are encouraged to get up close with the classic machines and learn how transport has evolved over the years. Admission is completely free and to find out more  please visit the following website:- www.britishcommercialvehiclemuseum.com
