Preston's Community Invites First Look At Bus Station Artwork - 5.30pm- 10/6/19

May, 31 2019

~In 1969 a grade 2 building was built which helped the public get out and about. Preston’s iconic bus station  has provided an excellent means of service for the young and old.

Now in 2019 a special event has been established that will mark such a landmark in the history of buildings and transportation.

Preston’s Instagram community is going to be given the first-chance to see a major new artwork at Preston Bus Station. Giant letters will be exhibited in and around the well known building.

Art commissions from LOW PROFILE and Keith Harrison are due to mark the building’s status in the city. In partnership with the Harris Museum, Preston Bus Station and In Certain Place, InstaMeet will be the lead organisers behind a dedicated Bus Station exhibition later this year.

The Instagram Community are reaching out to interested ones to take the first look images of the new artwork. Preston InstaMeet VII is free to attend and all you need to do is post your pictures to Insta with the hashtags #igerspreston and #brutiful.

The InstaMeet will run from 5.30pm on Monday 10 June and last for around an hour. You can sign up via www.eventbrite.co.uk /tinyurl.com
