~When an out of work musician is looking for their next big break it’s essential that their C.V.  highlights the many performances they’ve done in the past and what makes them so unique compared to their contemporaries.

Although legendary drummer Carl Palmer isn’t out of work he does have reputable  resume which would definitely go beyond the standard two page summary on a  CV. Let’s review the facts :-

  • He has a distinguished career spanning six decades
  • He is founder member of  two of the most successful bands the world has ever seen, Emerson, Lake and Palmer, and the super group Asia.
  • He continues to shape the world of drumming.

In a rare, public  appearance Carl will be discussing drums, answering questions from the respective audience and performing live with Preston based band Cold Bath Street.

Cold Bath Street are comprised of local musicians brought together through UCLAN. Fronted by  Simon Partridge, the band will be exploring new musical territory at a local venue very soon.

Local based duo Logan and Manley come from the creative northern town Hebden Bridge. They’ll be delivering their soulful vibes and profound lyricism to a popular haunt in Preston.

All three acts will be performing at The New Continental on Thursday 30th May. It’s a 7.30pm start with tickets priced at £10 in advance via newcontinental.net, from the bar (01772 499 425) or from Preston based music shop Action Records the week of the performance.
