Creative Prestonians Urged To Join Workshops To Help City’s Arts And Events Scene

~You may work in the creative industry. That being the case you’ll need a network of closely associated individuals and assistance to help you in the long term with your creative endeavors.
The People’s Production Lab on Guildhall Street Preston will signpost you in the right direction. The Social Action Lab will take place here and they have already established creative workshops at the latter part of April and are continuing throughout the month of May.
If you work in the creative industries the workshops are designed to help you learn more about creative projects through to developing fund writing bids and putting on large-scale events.
Sally Dyer develops the discussion further about how you, as a creative person can get involved:-
“If you are interested in social action, events, working with communities, or similar areas and would like the opportunity to develop your own project, or work towards a project that is already on the move, then the Social Action Lab is where you will be given the opportunity to develop a raft of skills around creating projects which can work for the social good alongside creating fantastic, engaging, and ambitious audience or participant based experiences which utilise your passion and practice have the potential to impact globally.”
Here is a list of the remaining dates of the workshops :-
- Thursday 9 May from 6pm to 8pm
- Monday 13 May from 5pm to 8pm
- Thursday 16 May from 5.30pm to 7.30pm
- Monday 20 May from 5.30pm to 7.30pm
Each workshop costs £12 and places can be booked via Eventbrite.
