~You’ve seen your favourite superheroes on the big screen. They have impressed you with their skill and technique and you have even saw prequels and sequels of your character which has helped you build a bigger picture of how they became such a force of nature.

But did you know that the screenwriter for each blockbuster movie would have developed the movie from an original comic book. They would have carefully noted the heroes story and been observant not to stray from the heroes background so as to respect the loyalty of the fans.

That Comic Shop on 116 Friargate, Preston is home to a wealth of comics which pay notable homage to many of your heroes films you see at the cinema.

Next Saturday 4th May 2019 they are opening a ‘Free Comic Book Day’ to the general public. It will initiate at 10am and close at 4pm. Everything, and I mean EVERYTHING is completely free!

Here is the full list of free things on offer :-

Comic books:- one to everyone or three for those in cosplay or comic fancy dress.
Drinks and Snacks
Competitions and Games
Tables will be available, board games accessible, or bring your own.
For game players free pizza at lunch time and Magic the Gathering players can head on down at noon for a standard tournament, free and with fantastic prizes.
