~When we have a yearning or inclination to learn about  a particular subject, we usually refer to an experienced or accomplished professional in their field of work.

This can greater our appreciation of the subject and help us humbly accept the information. Sometimes youths have a battle when it comes to learning and maintaining knowledge. Thankfully, an evening has been scheduled which looks specifically at this matter addressed by an expert in their practise.

Susan Gathercole is one of Britain’s most eminent Psychologists and a fellow of the British Academy. She is Director of the MRC Cognition and Brain Sciences Unit at Cambridge University, where she established the innovative research clinic at the Centre for Attention, Learning and Memory (CALM) in 2014.This clinic has already helped over 800 children suffering from cognitive and behavioural problems

Susan will be delivering a lecture as part of Darwin Day Celebration 2019. It will take place on Thursday May 2nd from 7pm-9pm at UCLAN’S Darwin Lecture Theatre, Darwin Building, Preston Campus.

She will be speaking on the subject :- ‘Understanding Why Children Can Struggle to Learn’. As a professor and OBE you can guarantee it will be of an extremely high standard.
