Derelict Mayhem - UCLAN Media Factory - 25/5/19

~The University of Central Lancashire’s Media Factory is far from dilapidated. Every year it enrols students who embark on media and arts based courses who then go on to find successful careers in broadcasting, music and production. It’s fitting then that the building is going to utilized in an exciting and radical way this May 2019.

 Derelict Theatre are preparing to take over the Media Factory at UCLAN. Branded as Derelict Mayhem it will see emerging and established artists perform on 25 May.

Artistic director of Derelict Chris Gilligan looks back on the previous event and builds anticipation for this years one:-

“We’re really excited to be holding our second annual platform of new performance work. Last year’s event showcased work that was local, regional and nationally diverse. This short festival is a beacon to artists across the country that Preston really is an emerging centre for creative performance output and a perfect place to launch new ideas.”
