Clay Exhibition - UCLAN - 2/4/19- 24/4/19

~Have you ever experimented with a potters wheel and found yourself making a complete mess of your attempts to make a vase or a mug? That is actually the majority of us. There are however a more specialised field of artists who don’t have that problem and have gone on to create wonderful works of art.

From Tuesday April 2nd - Wednesday April 24th  comes an exhibition which accolades talented craftsmen and women. Uclay :- New Northern Voices in Clay will offer an insight into the diversity of creative possibilities within contemporary ceramic practice, with each artist’s work demonstrating a unique and deeply personal approach to working with clay.

Work will be displayed by more than 20 artists with an additional four generations of graduates from the MA Ceramics course.

Here are several highlights of what you will expect to see as you view the work :-

  • Work by teaching staff and ‘work in progress’ by current students
  • An insight into the MA Ceramic ‘journey’ at UCLan
  • The student’s contribution to  the course which enhances the national and international ceramic community.

Please note:-there will be a private viewing  on Tuesday 2 April between the hours 5:30pm – 8:30pm. Keep following the PR1 Gallery Instagram for updates - @PR1Gallery. This event is only for adults aged 16+.
