~Do you remember when your Careers Advisor visited your Secondary School and informed you about all the choices and opportunities that will be presented to you as you enter higher education? Granted, they were right to a certain extent but you were just a teenager then and the thought of a career may have appeared daunting as you were simultaneously  sitting your GCSE’S.

 This Tuesday 26th March 2019 will be an event held at The Preston Guild Hall on Lancaster Road, Preston. ‘Lancashire Apprenticeship and Careers Expo 2019’ will initiate from 12pm -7pm. Admission is free just arrive with an open minded attitude and a willingness to seek and take advice from experienced people.

During the course of the day you will be introduced to leading local employers such as the NHS, Leyland Trucks, and South Ribble Borough Council. There will also be over 50 other employers who are looking to recruit apprentices to work across all areas including the retail, leisure, and construction industries.

Now as an adult, you can receive expert advice from an Independent Careers Advisor who will be able to give you information, advice ,and guidance to help you make a decision on your future.

Fact :- The Lancashire Apprenticeships & Careers Expo 2019 is the only event in the Lancashire where the universities, colleges, and training providers come together under one roof. It would be beneficial therefore to take advantage of these specialised institutions and professional leaders as they direct the right career for you.

Just for the record, the top three institutions attending are :-

  • Preston’s College
  • Blackpool and The Fylde College
  • UCLAN

The colleges and training providers will be looking to meet young people to not only talk to them about the career choices available but also to try and match candidates against the many vacancies they are looking to fill.
