Moor Park Tree Planting - 11am - 1pm - 26/1/19

Jan, 21 2019

~Have you ever wondered through a park and seen a series of people with wellies and gloves on, a spade in one hand , a tree in the other  and the torrential rain and wind crashing against their activity and thought to yourself, ‘what one earth are they doing?’

Well, this activity is tree planting and although it looks on the  surface a little eccentric, responsible wise people are doing an excellent job in planting trees now for their survival in the future.

Instead of just ignoring what you saw last weekend why not get involved! This Saturday 26th January 2019 is the perfect time to contribute to the environment. Moor Park Tree Planting is taking place in Preston between the hours of 11am - 1pm.

Admission is completely free just come with a willingness to participate in the two hour duration. Interested ones should meet at the Bowling Greens, next to Rosemary on the Park Café.

Upon arrival you will be introduced to Friends of the Park and the Park Ranger and you will be helped and encouraged to plant young trees. Please note :- it is advisable for you to wear suitable footwear because the park may be boggy and you will be doing  a considerable amount of digging on the day too.

Once the two hour is complete you can have a well earned cup of tea/coffee and a selection of biscuits afterwards.

Enjoy a couple of hours outdoors lending a hand at Moor Park...
