Resilience Talks - UCLAN - 9am - 12.30pm - 28/11/18

Nov, 20 2018

~Different people react to trials and traumas in their own unique and often  personal way. One person may be overwhelmed in grief and feel that there really is no way forward. Alternatively another person may feel compelled to combat the situation in a positive way and find methods and techniques to build and strengthen their mindset.

It would be appropriate therefore to learn from those that have perhaps endured trials and have somehow found a new path, which in turn has helped them design a  better mental and physical well being.

I am pleased to announce there will be a free interactive half-day workshop around ‘Understanding Resilience in the Face of Adversity’ on the UCLAN campus. There will be interdisciplinary talks on adverse childhood experiences, resilience and positive changes after trauma, and emotional intelligence.

The following people will seriously benefit from the talk based discussions :-

  • Practitioners
  • Commissioners
  • Service providers
  • The voluntary sector
  • Researchers

They will have great insight in promoting strengths-based approaches, resilience and well being, and will provide a space to explore key shared priorities and opportunities to collaborate.

The session will last three and a half hours and it will be held at UCLAN’S Creative Innovation Zone, Media Factory, Preston Campus.
The event is completely free and refreshments will be provided in the form of tea and coffee.

Listen and learn how you can effectively rise above any calamity or crisis life may present to you:-
