Spotlight On CCG Members :- Mrs Trisha Rollo

Nov, 1 2018

It’s unusual these days to begin life in a district or town and reach your senior years still inhabiting that particular place. This month’s ‘Spotlight on CCG Members’ achieved such a feat as we are about  to discover.

Born and educated in Preston, Mrs Trisha Rollo began her career  in the Civil Service before working for British Aerospace mainly in IT and Information Management. It was during this time that Trisha was introduced to the first ever Global Research Project and soon became the technical representative and editor of the final report and also obtained an MBA from UCLAN.

She travelled briefly to Sweden in which she worked in Information Management for a specific company. She formed alliances there and upon leaving was able to successfully form partnerships which enabled her to create new fields of work. The new partnership helped her become a female handyman mainly helping people vulnerable adults and charities.

Even as a young teenager, Trisha knew instinctively that she would have a natural love for local charities. Her philanthropic work ranged from cancer charities – visiting prisoners.

Her love for people continued for her love for her husband Brain who is also the Mayor of Preston. Following Trisha’s marriage, she got involved in more worthy causes.

These include :-

• Cycling for the Jubilee Debt Campaigns
• On  board for  the now defunct Lancashire Global Education Centre
• Area co-ordinator of Global Justice Now Central Lancashire
• On the boards of Preston HIV Support Team and Preston Twinning Partnership
• Member of Let’s Grow Preston
• Chair of Friends of Avenham and Miller Park

From May 2017 to May 2018 was Mayoress of Preston to her husband Brian.
The CCG warmly welcomes this philanthropic and community based activist into its family. Welcome.
