Harris Live - November - March 2019.

Oct, 4 2018

~As the dark afternoons will soon approach us and the cold snap of winter sets in, it would be easy to stay at home all snuggled up watching our favourite Disney movie in our pyjamas. But if we discovered something which would take us out of our comfort blanket we may just put the DVD’S on hold, at least till the spring 2019.

This autumn and winter the Harris Live music events is returning to Preston’s most cultural and sophisticated venue. It is scheduled to run on the first Wednesday evening from October - March and the line ups have already been confirmed.

Sadly the October night has already taken place but you may want to note down the following four evening performances :-

Wednesday 7 November – Harvey Britain
Wednesday 5 December – Saraben
Wednesday 6 February – Jes Stretton
Wednesday 6 March – CLOUDS Harp Quartet

Each and every performance will take place in the café area of the Harris Museum and echo around the entire building with atmospheric lighting to add to the drama of the performance.

Cabinet member for culture and leisure councillor Peter Kelly expressed these words of joy regarding the excellent line up and the venue for live music,

“Harris Live is a fantastic programme – what better location to experience live music than the stunning architecture of the Harris? The programme offers a diverse range of musical performances, appealing both to those who want to come for a specific act and those who want to attend as many of them as possible. Don’t wait on booking your tickets, we sold out last season!”

All shows are £8 and tickets are available on Eventbrite or in person at the Harris shop. Buying offline saves you the booking fee.

The Harris will hear the sounds of divas, harps and more during the latest round of the Harris Live concerts.
