Heart, Mind, Body And Soul Festival - 10am -4pm - Preston - 15/9/18
Jul, 26 2018
~Since 1978 a registered charity has been helping people rebuild their lives following a severe heart trauma. For forty years it has seen individuals go from sheer shock to sheer glory and now in 2018 a fitting celebration has been organised in honour of the lives it has saved.
Preston charity ‘Heartbeat’ is hosting a joyous occasion, simply called
‘The Heart and Mind, Body and Soul Festival’ showcasing up to 60 stalls, featuring everything from alternative therapies and natural cosmetics to arts and crafts.
It will take place in the grounds of Ashbridge School in Hutton and the outdoor area is an ideal climate for cycling, caravanning, walking and running. Additional sports activities include yoga, dance, walking football and walking netball.
For the children there are forest activities such as a “skipathon”, and Zumba classes. For the adults and the child within us there is Heartbeat’s annual 2km run with a superhero themed fancy dress experience!
For those with a more relaxed approach to festivals you can, instead, have your blood pressure and cholesterol tested by the Heartbeat team, or relax while listening to some live music. You can also enjoy a wide selection of healthy street foods on offer, plus ideas and inspiration from the Soul Food Kitchen.
The festival will take place on Saturday 15 September between 10am and 4pm. Tickets are on sale through Skiddle.com. There are deals for families and an early bird reduction for bookings made before the end of July. To find out more please visit :-http://www.heartbeat-nwcc.org.uk/.
