~In four months time the news media will no doubt have covered another series of monumental and critical stories which will surprise, shock and even shape our current world climate. Stories that will dominate the headlines and stay in our mindset for the latter part of the year.

Shocking stories aren’t just a recent thing though. For years, decades even centuries revealing  accounts on the front page broadsheet paper have captured a moment in time in which a nation was overwhelmed and even saddened by some stories.

This summer you can watch a young man foretell events from a bygone era in the very town and district his tour takes him. ‘Dan Snow - An Evening with the History Guy’ is coming to Preston’s Charter Theatre on Sunday 24th June 2018.

Probably best know for his historical television programmes on the BBC, Dan hopes to focus his presentation skills on the town he’s performing in aided by state of the  art digital screens. In addition,  Dan will  recall the many experiences he’s had as an historian and broadcaster which will be moving and at times comical.

The show will be of particular interest to local University and College students, teaching and academic professionals and families ( young and old). As well as those who have a real interest in the history of their region and town.
