Northern YA Lit Fest UCLAN - 24/3/18

Feb, 8 2018

~If you were a child in the 80’s you may have been impressed with the science fiction films that were popular  during this decade. This helped you capture your imagination and you designed your childhood around the make-believe movies that fascinated you.

A book can create a similar experience. It does however, require more imagination and concentration to allow the story to develop in your mind and heart.

As we reach adolescence thoughts about the world change and we desire more substantial films and books to inspire and influence our creativity. It’s around this age that Careers Advisors visit Secondary Schools and discuss with pupils what they wish to study at College and then on in to University. It’s this critical point that can determine a teenagers future and the direction they decide to follow.

On Saturday 24th March 2018 you can be part of  an exciting event catered for students who wish to choose subjects in literature, creative writing, media studies and business studies. Preston’s first ever Northern YA Literature Festival is taking place at UCLAN.
