~Singing can be such a joyous thing to. It can lift your spirits and make you happy. At this time of the year you’ve probably noticed the increase of Christmas related songs either on the radio or in the supermarket. Carols, however are the more refined alternative from the Christmas medley we’re all too familiar with and when sung collectively it can create real wonder and magic.

This Friday 8th December 2017 from 6.30pm - 9pm at the Town Hall on Lancaster Road, Preston you can experience ‘Mayor’s Carols in the Chamber.’

This years chosen choir is the Octavius Choir conducted by Mr David Scott-Thomas. It’s an opportunity to show your support to this years chosen charities, Galloways Society for the Blind and St Catherine's Hospice.

The cost of tickets per person is £8.50 and are available to purchase via the Mayoress either by email :- trish.rollo@blueyonder.co.uk or by phone :- 01772 720149. All proceeds go to the above charities.

A pre-show reception takes place at 6.30-7pm which includes a complementary drink and canapés. The carols begin at 7pm.

If your unfamiliar with the area, the Town Hall is found in the centre of Preston City Centre near the thriving Harris Museum and the busy Friargate street.

Enjoy a festive evening in the Chamber with the Mayor and Mayoress with some classic Christmas Carols.
