Outdoor Cinema Moor Park Preston Aug 27th 2017

~The way we watch films has changed dramatically in the last 30 years. The 80 was dominated by simple VHS tapes, as the 90s progressed people were streaming films online sometimes illegally. Then in the 21st Century DVD’s became available which meant you could  stop and start at the desired place where you last left it and you could watch additional features that perhaps showed a behind the scene of how the film was made.

Now in 2017 films are made accessible at any time and place thanks to portable tablets where you could even watch a movie on a aeroplane millions of feet above the Earth!

But trends sometimes come back in fashion and some 6 decades ago  out door cinemas was available back in the 1950s.

On Sunday 27th August 2017 you can enjoy an Outdoor Cinema experience at Preston’s Moor Park. Scheduled to take place between 11.30am-9pm at night. Cost of admission is free and the following films will be shown :-

12noon – The Incredibles (U - suitable for all)
3pm – The Guardians of the Galaxy (12A - moderate fantasy action violence, threat, moderate bad language)
6pm – Star Wars: The Force Awakens (12 - moderate violence, threat)

Entertainment will also be provided between movie showings - either a short film or film trivia quiz. Catering vans will be on site, or why not bring a picnic. Just don't forget the popcorn!

It is a free event as mentioned but you will need to book. To do so please log on to :-
