Spotlight On CCG Members :- Julie Ward

Jun, 6 2017

~Past and current political involvement is what has shaped this month’s ‘Spotlight on CCG Members’.  Helping the local community and being a proud supporter of CCG events is what makes Julie Ward a notable member and credible enough to highlight her achievements.

Prior to her political career, Julie invested a considerable amount of time in the cultural sector. It was here where she working collaboratively with marginalised communities using the arts as an effective tool for well being, empowerment and social change.

For more than ten years Julie also did extensive work in the EU, working side by side building bridges with key people. She was heavily involved in an international delegation to Belfast to participate in an all-party discussion about the role of the arts in peace-building processes.

In May 2014 and for the following three years she concentrated her work primarily on a political platform. She has developed this area in places such as Cumbria, Lancashire, Merseyside, Cheshire and Greater Manchester.

Recently she has been a keen supporter of the events organised by the CCG. Such as the successful One Billion Rising and the STAR event (Stand Together Against Racism)

We hope she continues her excellent work in the North West region and remains a positive advocate of the events instituted by the CCG.

We warmly welcome Julie Ward to the CCG.
