Call For Proposals - Science Stalls For Einstein’s Garden At The Green Man Festival 2017

~It’s that time of the year again when music fans are getting prepared for another summer of excellent live music at local festivals. The Green Man Festival held on the beautiful Glanusk Park site in the Brecon Beacons, Wales is no exception.

Expected to take place on the following four dates, 17/18/19 and 20th August 2017.  Each year it attracts, over 20,000 visitors and it has garnered a reputation as one of the greatest independent festivals in the UK.

As well as top music acts,  Einstein’s Garden focuses on science and nature and the concept to include art which adds to the  collective mix of performances, workshops and installations that use creativity, play and participation to engage people with science and research in unexpected ways. The Festival is looking for organisations which include the following :-
* eye catching activity
*engaging festival audiences with science
*explore fundamental scientific ideas or phenomena
*the process of science or current scientific research

Please note :- stalls must  include as much interactivity and participation as possible for festival goers and that they embody the creative and playful spirit of Einstein’s Garden.

Standard stall cost would be £250 ( 4mx4m) including VAT. Fees for larger stalls will be negotiable on a case-by-case basis. There are, however, limited number of pitches for smaller organisations. The cost of stall includes 6 festival passes, this does not cover expenses or meal vouchers.

You must be able to support your own stall holder, cover all materials, equipment, travel and subsistence expenses. You must also provide your own small marquee. You have until 4pm on the Wednesday 16th August to have your stall set-up. It must be open from 12noon until 7pm on 18th August. Following this, from 10am till 7pm 18th., 19th and 20th August.

Please note :- There will be no power available for stalls and no generators are allowed in Einstein’s Garden so if your stall does need power you must provide your own renewable energy. All stall holders must have comprehensive public liability insurance.
