Spotlight On CCG Members :- Mr. Richard Hext

~This week’s Spotlight on CCG members comes from a gentleman who started small and over time  built and established his career and reputation. He is Mr. Richard Hext.

1975 is where we begin our focus on Richard’s work life. It was here where he started his career as a young man in shipping as a labourer at Scotts of Bowling, a Clydeside shipyard.

As time progressed and Richard went up the employment ladder he soon realised many amazing ambitions.

40 years later and we Richard having been accredited many roles and titles such as Chairman of Vanmar Shipping and a non-executive Director at the Anglo Eastern Univan Group, at Swire's China Navigation Company.

Now in 2017 he is a non-executive Director and former Group Chief Executive at the University of Central Lancashire.

So how did this ambitious, career minded individual get to where we see him today? It certainly wasn’t by a vague hope and false optimism, neither was it be a rough calculation and a hope for the best.

Richard got to where we see him today by his great belief both in himself and those around him. His positive energy is infectious as is his enthusiasm for life and those he connects with.

His bright, forward thinking mindset has won him the respect and appreciation both in business and in family life.

The CCG are delighted he is one of our members.
