Spotlight On CCG Members :- Lady Grenfell - Baines MBE

Dec, 20 2016

~Going back five decades and with a string of credible titles to her name, this week’s ‘Spotlight on CCG members’ is an absolute joy and pleasure to introduce.  She is, simply, Lady Milena Grenfell Baines.

Over the years she has collected no doubt many titles, none more so than the following three :-Chairperson of the Preston Friends of the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra and Trustee of the Harris Charity. She is also a hard worker of the city’s Twinning Committee.

In addition to her credible accomplishments, Lady Grenfell – Baines MBE  is an qualified chef  and has put her culinary delights to the people of Preston and the Lancashire community for many years.

Her work at UCLAN hasn’t gone unnoticed either. She became an Honorary Fellow and Patron of the Creative Communities Group.

She has also been awarded the Honorary Freedom of the City of Preston making her the 25th person to reach this most privileged position.

For the Preston Guild in 2012 she helped nurture, encourage and develop the community’s most talented artists, in ‘The Young Musician of the Guild’.

As 2016 reaches its conclusion, we accolade Lady Milena Grenfell Baines for her dynamic energy, her kind and generous approach to people and above all her love of culture to her role. It’s these quintessential things that have helped to shape Lady Milena into a treasured person that the CCG are proud to have as our member.
