Whit Fair Sat 28th May - Tues 31st May 2016

May, 19 2016

~From September - December Preston is made sparkly in shops and restaurants as the Christmas build up accelerates. From January - March it reaches a slightly lower stimuli with people feeling the financial crash from a post Christmas spend and now the temperature is a lot colder and there is little if not any excitement to be had in the streets of Preston.

Thankfully that all changes as the annual Easter parades hit March/April and the city becomes that much happier with a warm glow and chocolate delights to be had.

After Easter things take a little dip but then, something more arrives. The traditional annual Whitsuntide Fair that is located at the Preston flag market in the city centre.

Birley Street and the Flag Market takes centre stage as two market canopies cover  fair food, drinks, snacks and so much more.

Just four days of adrenalin filled buzz and excitement capture a city that is consistently striving to compete with other bigger cities such as Liverpool and Manchester. With it’s annual increase of students at the local University and foreign inhabitants coming from abroad the city is attracting more and more  people with a new and contemporary outlook on the city streets.

From Saturday 28th May - Tuesday 31st May 2016 between 1pm-10pm the Preston Market on Earl Street Preston will be transformed much to the fun and delight of it’s attendees.
